On Sunday the 22nd of December, the KPA lunch was arranged by the EC Committee of the KPA, and once again very graciously Mr. Vivek Tankha offered his lawns at Lodhi Estate, as venue. The decoration was chosen to be in green and white, camouflaging with the greenery of the lawn around. The weather was favourable and the day sunny, oozing out the warmth and rubbing it onto the visitors in the form of mirth and happiness. People had smile on their faces as they met and greeted the long-lost relatives and friends in a pleasant atmosphere. New acquaintances were made, pleasantries were shared and jovial uproar was quite visible all around. Vivek’s attempt at interviewing the senior dignitaries was quite enlightening as more information about the Biradari came into light. Mrs. Dhar and her sister’s congenial laughter was quite infectious. A lot of youngsters had joined the crowd too and presented a colourful spectrum in the gathering. Madulika and Renu, conducted the Lotto quite skilfully and managed to pull the crowd towards matching the tickets with the announced numbers seriously. The food was scrumptious, and in abundance. Kudos to Mr. Topa again! Mr. Sanjay Krishan Kaul and his wife Mrs. Shivani Kaul had graced the event this time perhaps for the first time as guests, generally for quite some time they had played the hosts. Biradari was elated for him to join Bahrain International Commercial Court as a prestigious member of the BICC. Although the event commenced with the sombre remembrance of the departed members of the community by Gen. Masaledan but got concluded quite blithely with his and his team’s efforts. Mr. Vivek Tankha was as gracious a host as he had always been. Mr. Ajay Dar’s paan rocked, Vaibhav’s momentary glimpse was quite inspiring as the day ended. Mrs. Sanyogita Masaledan’s efforts need to be applauded as she tirelessly attended the guests. In all it was a great show and we craved for the future one to happen soon.
